After much consideration, we chose to discontinue our David’s Bridal Credit Card Program effective September 1, 2022. Existing cardholders should have received a communication from Comenity Capital Bank detailing this information with resources and information available to them.
Why did David’s Bridal discontinue their Credit Card Program?
A: Offering seamless, stress-free solutions to get every customer in their perfect dress is top priority for us, and we know that our customers value flexible, modern financing solutions. As we evaluate our payment options, programs like Affirm, Layaway, and Special Order Reservations give our customers exactly that; they are the most transparent, flexible, and straightforward payment options so they can purchase their dream dress on their terms.
What will happen to my account?
A: Your credit card will no longer be accepted for purchases after August 31, 2022 and your David’s Bridal Credit Card will be reported as closed to the credit bureau. Comenity Capital Bank will continue to serve you and service your account until your balance is paid in full.
I still have a balance to pay off and won’t be able to do it before the credit card program is discontinued. What do I do?
A: That’s not a problem – you can continue to pay on your balance as normal.
• You will receive monthly billing statements until your account balance is paid in full.
• The terms and conditions in your Credit Card Agreement will apply until your account balance is paid in full.
• Youwill continue to have access to the Account Center, where you can view your account and make online payments.
When I pay off my card, do I need to cancel it?
A: You won’t need to call and cancel the card. Once the final payment is submitted and approved, the card will be removed from your line of credit.
Is my 6-month contract still going to be valid?
A: Absolutely, nothing will change regarding your credit balance, ways of payment, or contract.

I have a David’s Bridal credit card I would like to use.
A: You are still welcome to use your card for purchases until August 31, 2022 both in-store and online.
I already have a card, but I think it is deactivated. Can it be reactivated?
A: When a card is not used for two years or more, it automatically deactivates because it does not have a due balance. Unfortunately, because our application period is closed, we are unable to reopen the account.
Why was I not told the card program was ending when I recently opened my account?
A: Due to contractual obligations with Comenity Capital Bank, we were unable to disclose the discontinuation of the David’s Bridal Credit Card Program prior to July 20, 2022.
Can I still return my item purchased on my David’s Bridal Credit Card?
A: For items purchased with your David’s Bridal Credit Card, returns will be accepted as long as the return meets David’s Bridal standard return policy.
Can I make an exchange on my David’s Bridal Credit Card?
A: Charges to the DBCC card will not be accepted after August 31st. An exchange can be completed using a merchandise store credit as long as the exchange request meets the merchandise exchange policy.
What will happen to my Account Assure coverage?
A: If your account was enrolled in Account Assure, our optional debt cancellation program, your coverage and billing will continue until your balance is paid in full, or until your enrollment is cancelled or terminated. Please refer to the Account Assure Terms and Conditions for details about benefits, exclusions, cancellation, and termination.
Will I still need to make payments even though my account is closing?
A: Yes, it’s important that you honor the terms and conditions of the Credit Card Agreement by making monthly payments until your balance is paid in full.
If you are not offering a Credit Card, what other options do I have?
A: In our stores we offer layaway, Special Order Reservations, and you can also apply for Affirm!
How can I make payments?
A: You can choose from the following payment options:

Call: 1-866-891-3458 (TDD/TTY: 1-888-819-1918) and use the automated system to avoid an expedited payment fee, which may be charged if an associate assists you.
Mail: Send a check via US Postal Service (we recommend mailing it at least 10 days before the due date to reach us on time).
What should I do with my credit card?
A: To protect your credit and prevent identity theft, please destroy all credit cards issued for this account once the program ends, including cards for any authorized users.
How will my account closing impact my credit bureau report?
