Take us back to your high school prom! What was the theme and what did you wear?
I believe it was your typical “Take Back the Night” or something along those lines (lol). I wore a very simple peach colored dress with heat-set stone back detail.
Help us create the ultimate prom playlist! What would be your top three song choices?
- See You Again by Miley Cyrus
- Me and My Girls by Selena Gomez
- Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani (because you always need a throwback!)
Let’s talk style! What are some prom dress trends that you are seeing and loving this season?
Definitely metallics & pastels! These fabrics look so great on all skin tones and really call attention to whoever rocks them!
Do you have any tips for accessorizing and completing your prom look?
I would say pairing your dress with some of the new, fun hair pins or colorful earrings we have over in accessories really completes the look. Also depending on how simple your dress is, pairing a printed shoe always amps up the look!
If you had the chance to re-live your high-school prom, what DB dress would you wear?
Definitely style 7961GZ4A MLTBLUE (coming soon!). It’s super cute and simple, but still has the trend factors of one-shoulders, leg slits and metallics. It will be delivering in January & I’m very excited to see how it does!

Let’s talk style! What are some prom dress trends that you’re seeing and loving this season?
There are so many trends to choose from, but I love the simplistic and minimalist trend that’s happening right now. You can have just a classic silhouette and throw it in a fun color and just like that have a show stopper! But my absolute favorite trend this year is back details! I love having a surprise element to your dress. Whether it is a strappy or lacy, it is an easy way to make you feel extra special on prom night!
Take us back to your high school prom! What was the theme and what did you wear?
I’m pretty sure the theme was Red Carpet Hollywood and I wore a black and white zebra-like printed, long slim dress with black graphic lines down the front. My favorite part was that it had a big leg slit that I LOVED! I swear it was edgy at the time…or at least I thought so.
Do you have any tips for accessorizing and completing your prom look?
First off, don’t be afraid to have fun with it. You can get so many great accessories these days without spending too much money. Just go for it and feel like a queen! If your dress is a little more simple go with a bold pump or a crazy statement earring. If your dress already has a lot going on, then keep it simple with a classic earring and bracelet.
Can you share some tips for anyone about to start prom dress shopping? Any advice or suggestions to help make the process fun and easy?
I know shopping for a prom dress can be intimidating, but try not to sweat it. Just start by scrolling through Instagram or pinterest and get inspired. From there just focus on 3 key things. First, what silhouette do you want (i.e. ballgown, slim and sexy)? Secondly, what are your must have details (i.e. leg slit, back detail, metallic/shine fabric etc.)? And third, what colors are you interested in? But most importantly, call up your girlfriend and go out shopping. Sometimes you never know exactly what you want until you start trying dresses on!
If you had the chance to re-live your high-school prom, what DB dress would you wear?
I would want to wear style A23386! It is sophisticated and trendy. Light blue (the hottest prom color)- check. Leg slit- check. Back detail to die for- check.

Let’s talk style! What are some prom dress trends that you’re seeing and loving this season?
Beads and sequins! I’m loving all the shine this season!!!
Do you have any tips for accessorizing/completing your prom style?
If you’re wearing a highly embellished dress then I would keep accessories to a minimum, but if you’re going with a simple dress then I would go with bold accessories like a metallic high heel and a pair of fun statement earrings to spice it up.
